RFA Founder, USMC Veteran, expert story teller, and master of adventure.
Capt. Tim is a father, husband, Marine, and creative entrepreneur. Capt. Tim's drive to serve others and his love for the outdoors underpin his mission for RFA. He finds his deepest connection with God in nature, considering the outdoors his church and loves sharing it with others to serve education, ministry, and conservation.
As a child, he loved camping, exploring the woods of South East Michigan and every creek, pond, and great lake. He participated in several adventure camps where a small group would travel into the wilderness via train and be dropped off with canoes and gear to camp the wilderness for a week. He could never articulate the peace and deep connection he would get from the land and wildlife he would encounter. This connection would fuel confidence and creativity allowing him to accomplish hard things and fortify a strong but humble mental attitude.
Later in life, Capt. Tim served in the United States Marine Corps as a Heavy Machine Gunner and small unit infantry leader. Having served, he witnessed some who struggled (either mentally or physically) from experiences attributed to their service. Capt. Tim decided to volunteer for several Veteran organizations dedicated to providing mental, physical, and occupational therapy via Fishing and the Outdoors.
At this point, it become clear to Capt. Tim of the gifts and training that God had bestowed him with through his upbringing and journey through life and the calling to start RFA was heard and obeyed. Capt. Tim left a long career in corporate America to heed this calling, and now wants to serve others with the opportunities he had as a child to become closer with God and connected to Mother nature (no matter your faith, gender, or age).

Fish Whisperer, Wrangler of all God's creatures, and Firefighter/First Responder
Capt Matt is a father of two spitfire little girls, husband, Firefighter and EMT. A true adventurer that runs to a crisis not away. Capt. Matt enjoys anything to do with the outdoors: fishing, hunting gator, python, waterfowl, turkey, deer, pretty much any creature you can imagine. You might have even seen Capt. Matt on the local news fighting a hammerhead shark for his king mackerel from his kayak several miles offshore.
Originally from Kansas, Capt. Matt grew up hunting and fishing and passed this trait down his DNA to his young daughters. Barely speaking yet, his first born was already hooked on fishing and always wants to be out on the boat.
A man of action, faith, and devotion; Capt. Matt loves to serve and loves outdoor adventure.
